1. What we collect

Account information — your email address, display name, and (when you sign in with Google) basic profile information Google shares with us.
Your content — photos you upload, descriptions you write, and the projects, plans and material lists you create.
Usage and technical data — pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and error diagnostics.
Cookies — essential cookies only: sign-in tokens, and your light/dark theme choice.

Page-visit counts are first-party and anonymous: a random per-session identifier and the page path — no IP address stored, no cross-site tracking, no analytics vendor.

We do not collect precise location data, and we do not buy personal data about you. A project's location is stored as the city/state or ZIP code you enter — text only, never coordinates — and is used just to match local permit rules.

2. How we use it

To provide the service — generating design concepts from your photos and descriptions, and producing plans, estimates and guides.
To operate your account — signing you in, sending verification codes when you reset a password, and service emails.
To process payments you initiate, through our payment providers.
To keep the service safe, fix problems, and improve features.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the photos you upload to train our own AI models, and we do not allow our AI providers to train on them.

3. Photos and AI processing

Photos you upload are sent to our AI providers to generate your design concepts. We do not use them to train our own models, and we do not allow our providers to train on them. Before your first photo upload on a project, the app asks you to confirm this processing. You can remove any photo at any time from the project page — deletion takes it out of our storage.

Your designs stay private unless you choose otherwise. From a finished render you can opt in to “Feature this design”, which lets us show that photo and render — and only those — on our public style pages. You can stop sharing at any time with one click, and the images come down immediately.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the product — cloud hosting and storage, AI image generation, payment processing, and email delivery — under contracts that limit their use of it to providing those services. We may disclose information if required by law.

Our service providers may process your information in the United States or in other countries where they operate.

5. Retention and deletion

Your account and project data stay while your account is active. You control deletion:

Delete a photo — from the project page; it is removed from storage immediately.
Delete a project — removes its photos, renders, plans and material data.
Delete your account — in Account → “Your data”. This permanently removes your account and everything in it: projects, photos, designs, credits and purchase records. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

Before deleting anything, you can export a JSON copy of any project from Account → “Your data”.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update your display name and theme preference in the app, export your project data, and delete your account or any photo without emailing us. If you are in a region with additional statutory rights (for example California or the EEA), we honor those requests as applicable — contact us below.

7. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, verification codes are stored hashed and expire quickly, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and the Google sign-in option if you prefer.

8. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date.
